Stop #6 (and probably last) on my Farewell to Gainesville Tour: Mac's Burgers. If you haven't realized this, I LOVE eating at local restaurants. I strive to do this when I travel. Mac's is a very basic, no frills burger joint. I would rate their burgers below 5 Guys but high above McDonald's. Definitely somewhere you should check out. They are opened Monday-Friday 9am-7pm and closed on the weekends.
Be prepared to wait. The line was wrapped around the building and flooding into the street. View from our car stopped in the median.

I wasn't able to complete my entire Gainesville Bucket List. I was hoping to visit UF's Bat House and also paint the 34th Street Wall. After a little research, I discovered that the best time to see the bats is during the warmer months.
How fun- Love their burgers! And I am definitely going to go check out the Swamp Hear brewery!
