In case you are keeping track I am in fact still unpacking. 2 more rooms left!
Below are a few observations I have made while living in the great state of Ohio:
1. Slippers are a must! They totally help keep you warm. It is also important that they have a rubber/waterproof sole so you are able to wear them outside.
2. Sunglasses..or lack of them. I have seen a grand total of 5 people (including myself) wearing sunglasses. Granted the sun isn't out all that often but there is still a glare. Which drives me crazy. I can't stand driving without my shades.
3. I am dehydrated all the time. Even Bailey is dehydrated. He drinks so much water now. Which why #1 is important. ;)
4. Lotion. I need to invest in some really nice lotion. My skin looks like it has aged 20 years.
5. My staple wardrobe item has been my down puffer jacket. Also key is to have a removable hood.
6. Lastly, I am a sucker for Bath & Body Works soap. Love them! However, the moisturizing hand soap vs the gentle foaming hand soap is clutch. Moisturizing helps with the old lady hands I am currently experiencing.
Happy Friday!

I have old lady hands right now too. Midwest cold hurts.
ReplyDeletePS I don't know if other cities do them. I bet Chicago does. I will look into it!
Glad you and Bailey are staying warm! I use this lotion on my hands and find that it really helps my super dry skin:

And it's cheap so you don't feel bad about reapplying every time you wash your hands.

I thought about you guys today when I bought my down vest. It's cute and from land's end and only $17.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite lotion is cetaphil. I'll use a cheaper lotion for my hands at work, but every time I shower I use the cetaphil and it has done wonders for my skin. I get old lady hands with all the washing I do at work.
My husband always says I am always wearing my sunglasses but agree about the glare! Doesn't snow have a glare off of it too?
Glare off the snow is the absolute worst, it makes NO sense that people aren't using sunglasses! And I cannot stand the dry air, I used to get the worst chapped lips - I looked like I was in a fight (well, lost one at least). So always carry a good moisturizing lip balm while you're at it!
